CARD MAKING TIPS
SETTING UP
Set up your work area with several sheets of scrap paper to protect the table. Arrange your supplies to the side, so they don't accidentally get glue on them.
USING THE GLUE STICK
Rub the glue stick lightly on the back of the paper - enough to place a layer of glue, but not so hard that lumps of glue come off. When glue gets on your scrap paper, fold the paper so that you have a clean surface again.
EASY LAYERING EXAMPLES

1. Choose a card
2. Separate one of the heart doilies and lay it on the card
3. Lay crinkle paper across doily
4. Choose a heart to go on top
5. Add another smaller heart on top
6. Glue the layers.

2. Lay a contrasting paper on top
3. Continue to layer until you have a design you like
4. Add an embellishment on top
6. Glue the layers.

Experiment with different ways to lay out your design
Add lettering and a sweet or funny saying.
Add
dots at the ends of your letters to make them stand out.
HOW TO MAKE A POP-UP

1. Make 2 thin strips of paper or light card stock
2. Lay them perpendicular to each other with the ends overlapping
3. Fold the vertical strip up and over the end of the horizontal strip.
4. Fold the horizontal strip back over the vertical strip
6. Continue folding back and forth until you have a spring the size you want
7. Trim the ends and tuck them in or glue in place,
8. Glue one side of the spring to the back of a heart
9. Glue the other side of the spring to the card.
You've got a pop-up!
